A
true master of Chinese brushwork, Lou Dahua was born in 1948
and studied art at the Beijing and Shanghai Universities.
He has been engaged in the meticulous brushwork of birds
and flowers for several decades and his works form a distinct
and vivid art style suiting both refined and popular tastes.
His paintings are a rare blend of traditional Chinese and
Western painting methods and have been exhibited in China,
Japan, Taiwan and other Asian countries, Europe and North
America. Each Lou Dahua painting is a one-of-a-kind hand
painted original.
"Lou
has a wonderful sense of composition. He uses color
saturation to guide the eye to the focus of his work,
be it a beautiful lotus flower, bird or fish. I recently
hung 'Auspicious Cranes' in my living room - it's just
so lovely." Jeanne
B. - Philadelphia
"I
was amazed that the actual painting could be even more
beautiful than the picture on your web site but it
was by miles!" Liz
A. - Boston
"Lou
Dahua is an absolute master." Daniel
R. - New York
"After
hanging the painting, we can't take our eyes off it.
It's truly wonderful." Robert
C. - Florida
