commonly found within Chinese
paintings and Chinese
calligraphy. The Chinese written character system is
complex and unlike English, the combining of two or more
Chinese
characters may be inappropriate and/or alter its overall
meaning.
Please
note that there are over 40,000 different Chinese words
and only about 400 Chinese sounds. Therefore, in many cases,
when one Chinese word is pronounced on its own, its meaning
cannot be clearly understood.
